Metadata remover for photos, PDFs and Office files
See the hidden data inside photos and documents (location, device, author names, edit history) and download clean copies.
How it works
- Step 1
Drop photos, PDFs or Office files, several at once if you like.
- Step 2
See what each file reveals, grouped by location, people, device, dates and software.
- Step 3
Download the clean copies. Every file is re-read to confirm the data is gone.

One place for every file
JPEG, PNG and WebP photos, PDFs, and Word, Excel and PowerPoint files (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX).
Photos keep their quality
Photos are cleaned without re-compressing. Office files lose their author and revision properties, and comment authors are anonymised.
Nothing uploaded
Files are inspected and cleaned in your browser. They never leave your device.
Questions
Why remove metadata?
Files carry information you didn’t choose to share: where a photo was taken, who wrote a document and when, and which device or software was used.
Which formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, PDF, DOCX, XLSX and PPTX. Password-protected files can’t be cleaned.
Does it change my files?
Only the hidden data. Photos are not re-compressed, and document content stays the same.
